Community Programs

Camp Speers welcomes you to join an open house and enjoy a guided tour, learn about camp programs, get to know the staff, and try out some of our favorite camp activities. This will help kids build confidence and independence even before camp starts and allow children to meet some of the people they will spend time with while at camp.

Camp adventures are the main focus of our after-school program! Your kiddo will enjoy archery, rock climbing, nature scavenger hunts and more! We’ll also provide an afternoon snack & dedicated time for homework. Van transportation from school to Camp Speers is included in the price.

Cost: $150 for 8 sessions

FREE family-friendly event! All ages welcome. Drop-in for an afternoon of fun & bring your friends! Try out our favorite camp activities: canoeing, archery, tie dye, and rock climbing.

Bring the whole family to enjoy to great outdoor and all the activities Camp Speers has to offer during Memorial Day Weekend! You’ll enjoy time at the lake, conquer the rock wall, play a game of volleyball or gaga ball, hike through nature, and so much more! Plus you can make S’more by the camp fire!

Staff from the Pike County Conservation District (PCCD) and Pike County Planning & Mapping Office will be leading a guided hike to highlight the natural resources of Pike County at a site conserved through the County's Scenic Rural Character Preservation program.

We will be hiking through the bog at Camp Speers. Interested participants should assess their own comfort level with these conditions before beginning, and all participants will be required to complete a PCCD program waiver before the hike. Bring water, comfortable shoes, and a passion for conservation!
