Community Programs

Camp adventures are the main focus of our after school program! Your kiddo will enjoy exploring the outdoors and more seasonal camp fun! We'll also provide an afternoon snack and dedicated time for homework. Tuesdays beginning January 13th with bus pickup from DDES/DDPS and pickup at camp between 6:00-6:30pm.

Join us for a Saint Patrick’s Day Pancake Breakfast filled with fluffy, green pancakes, festive toppings, and lots of Irish cheer! Wear your green, bring your appetite, and enjoy a morning of good food and great company. 

Cost: $10/person

We sure do love camp, but 1,100 acres is a lot to take care of! We're seeking volunteers who want to share time at camp while helping make it a better place. Volunteer Days are open to all and we'll have jobs for all ages and abilities. If you can wield a chainsaw, that's great! If you can wipe a countertop, that's great! If you can pick up sticks, that's great! All are encouraged to give a helping hand. We'll enjoy a pizza lunch after the work is done. Volunteers are encouraged to help us with the Open House that follows the Volunteer Day, too.

Celebrate the start of the season with Family Fun Day at Camp Speers! This special event welcomes families to enjoy a day of hands-on camp activities including archery, canoeing, rock climbing, tie-dye, crafts, and more. Come experience the magic of camp, soak up the fresh air, and create lasting family memories.

The fun never ends during Family Camp weekends! With dozens of activities to choose from every minute of the weekend, we guarantee every member of the family will find something to love at Camp Speers. Imagine a weekend with no distractions, allowing you to play and enjoy being with your family and friends. We provide accommodations, meals and fun; all you have to do is join in.

Camp isn’t just for kids anymore! This action-packed weekend is the perfect chance to step away from the day-to-day grind and connect with other women for an unforgettable adventure. Enjoy a balanced mix of high-energy activities and time to recharge, all surrounded by nature.

Hike scenic trails, explore the waterfront, climb the rock tower, zipline, practice archery, and learn survival skills — then unwind by the fireplace with moments to relax and reflect. This weekend is all about honoring women’s desire for adventure, connection, and time outdoors.

We’ll wrap up the experience with a fun adventure challenge that puts your new skills to the test and sends you home feeling confident, refreshed, and inspired.
