In today's world of uncertainty, Camp Speers-Eljabar YMCA is a safe haven for children from all backgrounds: for the child who has been to camp and dreams of coming back; for the child who dreams of escaping a culture ruled by violence and drugs; for the child whose dreams of acceptance goes unanswered in his school and neighborhood; and for the child whose world has been so shaken, he's forgotten how to dream.
Every summer we provide a magical camp experience for more than 1,200 children. For 250 of them, the dream of going to camp would be out of reach without our Campership Fund. Each year, we raise funds to ensure that every child who dreams of coming to camp has the opportunity to do so.

Camperships: This program helps ensure our ability to serve all youth regardless of their financial ability. Youth are given scholarships to camp based on financial need and/or family circumstance. We use the USDA Poverty Guidelines and/or review of a family's extraordinary circumstances in awarding scholarship support to our campers. Your support of the program sends a needy but deserving child to summer camp.

Operations Support: 1,100 acres, 50+ buildings, miles of trails, acres of fields, adventure courses & towers, ... a true paradise for play in the outdoors -that's Camp Speers-Eljabar YMCA. It takes hundreds of thousands of dollars each year to maintain our facilities in top condition. Your support of our Operations helps us to do so.
- The Campaign for Every Camper: The Campaign for Every Camper is our ambitious fundraising campaign to raise $ 5 million dollars over the next 5 years. Success in this campaign will enable us to be debt free, enhance our facilities, increase our annual campership awards, and establish a reserve fund against future economic downturns.
- Hurricane Relief Fund: Help with needed funds to reconstruct roads & trails washed away &/or severely damaged or with removal of literally dozens and dozens of downed trees as a result of the winds and rains of Hurricane Irene.
- Matching Gifts: Please ask you employer if they have a matching gift program.
- Gifts-In-Kind: Gifts-In-Kind are not monetary contributions, and may consist of equipment, furnishings, products, and services and other appropriate gifts which may be used by Camp Speers-Eljabar YMCA. All gifts are truly appreciated and used to better the lives of youth in your community.
- Bequests: When you are doing your estate planning, a simple bequest to Camp Speers-Eljabar can be made in your will. Please consult your accountant or attorney.
- Alumni Scholarship Fund: Our staff is our greatest asset. This is why the Camp Speers-Eljabar YMCA Alumni Committee created and continues to sponsor a Staff Scholarship Award. This award assists staff who are in need of financial assistance to continue their education. The award recognizes one exceptional staff person each summer for demonstrating Camp's values and ideals.
- Your Gift of Time: Throughout the year we invite Camp friends and family to join us in special events, work projects and other activities that help us to raise funds and/or reduce costs. Some Camp friends volunteer one weekend to chop firewood or wash cabin windows, others participate in the organizing of our annual Send a Kid to Camp Golf Outing, and still others are involved in our Board of Trustees or Committees. Please share your time and talents with Camp - an hour, a day, a year... all are welcome and needed.
