A wonderful opportunity is before us! Camp Speers-Eljabar YMCA is launching its Campaign For Every Camper. We have great needs, as you will learn, as well as a proud heritage of generous support from our camp families for more than 60 years. This letter outlines important aspects of our Campaign For Every Camper and we hope you read it carefully.
What is The Campaign For Every Camper?
- This is a campaign to celebrate 65 years of CSEY’s service in 2013.
- This is a campaign for Kids who would not otherwise be able to attend and experience camp.
- This is a campaign to preserve our rich heritage of total access for those of all races, religions, abilities and socio-economic backgrounds, ensuring that diversity be experienced and life-long lessons about co-existing with others may be learned.
- This is a campaign to secure increased capacity allowing us to serve more kids and families with the highest quality programs.
- This is a campaign for those who experience economic hardship and now, more than ever, need the vital experience of camp.
- This is a campaign for those who need camp to be included and valued in the fabric of our community.
This is a campaign for every camper to build lasting friendships, gain skills & confidence, take responsibility and discover the best in him/herself! To accomplish these goals we will, with your support, focus on three major advances:

FACILITIES: Improve our facilities to modernize and accommodate expansion.- CAMPERSHIPS: Advance our capacity to provide campership to those in need.
- CAPACITY: Establish necessary cash reserves.
We are pleased to begin The Campaign For Every Camper and are committed to ensuring that it not only meets its ambitious goals, but does so in a way that honors CSEY’s values and builds on the foundation created by those who came before us. Camp is at a critical stage in our development as we seek to finalize the complete renovation of our facilities, retire our remaining debt, and retool our programs to meet the opportunities and demands of providing today’s (and tomorrow’s) youth with an authentic camp experience. We urge you to be a part of the pioneering spirit that created CSEY years ago-our sacred heritage soon to be 65 years young in 2013!
