The 2009 Fall Work Weekend Honor Roll of Volunteers includes Alumni - Wendy Lockhart, Tara Glaeser, Jenn Cali, Carrie Hehir, Mike Brown, Matt Roeder, Drew Roeder, Jordan O'Donnell, Andrew Devore, Justin Devore, Maria Devore, Bill Kocher, Jeff Palmieri, Emily Johnson and Art Glaeser; Campers Ethan Moore, Wilson Moore, Matt Curry and Katie Hammond; Famliy & Friends - Beth Phillips, Allison Moore, Mary Pat Lelinski, Judy Guzy, George Gill, Heidi Burrows,Tom Kocher, Shelia Kocher, Emma Palmieri, Will Palmieri and Ella Devore; Rotarians - Art Ridley, Bill Kerstetter, Arlene Quirk and over 60 Delaware Valley High School Students!
This industrious group cut cords & cords of firewood, raked piles & piles of wood chips, sewed 48 curtains for the cabins, stained pallets & pallets of wood siding; cleaned up the Speers Chapel, washed cabin windows and mattresses, cleaned the Speers Art Room, Put up the Bat Houses that Our beloved LITS made this summer, attached siding to Smith Lodge and cleared a whole lot of brush and fallen branches!
In addition to sharing the work, we all enjoyed seeing each other and sharing camp stories. A rousing Campfire on Saturday night became even more momentous when Ella Devore tasted her first s'more! Ella is the 3rd generation of the Devore Family to call Camp her "second home".
