Family Camp offers you -- and your family and friends -- an array of recreational activities to enjoy and almost limitless opportunities to share the "magic" of a Camp Speers-Eljabar YMCA experience".

 Did you ever long for those days gone by when you spent fun-filled days and nights at sleepaway camp? Have you ever wanted to trade places with your child while dropping him/her off at Camp? Just want to escape the demands of your family's busy schedule? Want to bring your extended family together to strengthen and celebrate those unique bonds?

If you've answered "YES" to any of the above or are just looking for a wonderful way to spend quality time together with your family and friends - We've got the perfect solution - gather the clan for one, two or all three of our FUN-tastic Family Camp Programs. Bring the entire family - grandparents, parents, cousins, siblings, aunts, uncles ... bring your neighbors, bring your college roommate and his family... bring all the special people in your life to share the fun! 

Family Camps are offered during New Year's, Memorial Day and Labor Day Weekends and are filled with seasonal and traditional camp activities that will be long-remembered by every generation in your family. Enjoy one, two or all three Family Camp weekends. Either way, as the weekend ends, we’ll have you saying, “We had so much fun - we can’t wait to go back!"

Fun-Filled Days & Nights!
Spend your days enjoying Canoeing, Boating, Horseback Riding*, Ropes Course Challenges, Nature Walks, Games & Sports, Climbing Tower, Fishing, Cowboy Breakfast Trail Ride*, Target Sports, Arts & Crafts, or find a quiet spot to enjoy a nap or good book. During the evenings, we really entertain! Join our "FUN-GINEERS" in singing songs around the campfire, laugh at their skits, and more! Share s'mores around the campfire outside of your cabin and watch the logs turn to embers as you and your loved ones sit around the fire under the starry skies of the Poconos.  Our food service staff keeps you well fueled and have you coming back for seconds! A special highlight is our salad bar with a variety of salads, condiments, fruits & vegetables provided every lunch and dinner. A fruit and cereal bar compliments our hot breakfasts.

New Year 
Ring in the New Year with your loved ones.  Share a special "midnight gala" featuring Camp Alumnus DJ Randy Jenkins on December 31st complete with all the food, fun, noise and celebration that the occasion calls for.  Enjoy winter activities - ice skating, ice fishing, snow tubing, as well as perennial favorites that include arts & crafts, games, hikes, archery and more. 

Welcome summer with Camp Speers-Eljabar YMCA by attending our Memorial Day Family Camp! Get a jump on summer fun by canoeing, sailing, swimming, horse back riding and hiking in the Pocono Mountains. There is something for everyone during this weekend. Lots of good food, family unity and good old fashion campfires will get every families summer of to a wonderful start.

Before the school schedules wash the summer memories away, come to Camp Speers-Eljabar YMCA for some "end of summer" fun! It's still warm enough to try those camp activities one last time before the winter winds turn summer into memories. All your favorite activities are available. Don't miss the crisp chill in the air while hiking around Nichecronk Lake! Attend Labor Day Family Camp! Great for family reunions or neighborhood get-togethers.

 A Magical Place!
Our facilities are "second to none" featuring beautiful, spacious log cabins that accommodate up to 14 people in bunk style beds. (Please bring your own bedding and towels) Cabins in Camp Eljabar feature in-cabin bathrooms and showers. Cabins in Camp Speers are located conveniently near state-of-the-art bathhouses. Other log cabin-style buildings provide indoor activity areas. A variety of outdoor recreation facilities surround the cabin areas. Our 1,100 wooded acres in the beautiful Pocono Mountains surround our private lake, home to boating and swimming. Miles of trails criss-cross our property providing perfect avenues for hiking, cross country skiing, horseback riding, and mountain biking. High & low ropes courses, clilmbing towers, fields for games and sports, arts & crafts studios, archery & riflery ranges, and so many other facilities provide the ideal settings for fun. We’re just 1 ½ hours west of NYC, ½ an hour north of Route 80 in Northern NJ and 2 hours north of Philadelphia.

Affordable Rates!
We offer two options to accommodate your family’s busy schedules. Choose the one that works best for you. Rates are per weekend / per person.

B                  $ 131                      $  86                     Free

Option A = Full weekend with all meals beginning with dinner the first day through and including lunch on the 4th day (3 nights/4 days) Option B = shorter weekend - ends one day earlier departure after lunch on 3rd day. (2 nights / 3 days) (please note: New Years Camp 2010-2011 offers Plan B only with a Friday evening arrival and Sunday departure)
