Whether your horse experience comes from seeing them romp in a pasture along side the road or you've been in the saddle for years - you will find an exciting equestrian experience within our Summer Camp horseback riding options. Western and English Disciplines are available for all levels and within all options for all riders who are a minimum of 8 years old and 52 inches tall.
Campers participate in a daily, one hour lesson in either English or Western discipline at any level. First time through advanced riders will find that they just can't stop Smiling while in the Saddle!
Beginner level lessons focus on all around horsemanship which includes equitation, control, natural aids and confidence. The Intermediate Level Riders progress to posting trot, perfecting a good “seat”, and riding with all their natural aids. Advanced riders continue to hone their skills while progressing to jumping and show/eventing skills. Small class sizes ensure each rider is able to set and work towards their personal equestrian goals.
For those who seem to constantly ask, “May I have a horse?” – this one week, 3 hour per day program offers the next best thing. Riders advance their riding skills through progressive riding lessons offered in English and Western styles. They also expand upon their knowledge and practice of horse care with grooming, tacking, feeding and stable chores. A special event (i.e. starlight ride, gymkhana…) is a feature of each two week session. Riders spend 3 – 4 hours per day at the Stables enjoying a well rounded equestrian experience.
