Our MOTHER-DAUGHTER ADVENTURE WEEKEND is dedicated to exploring, strengthening and celebrating the unique and extraordinary relationships shared by mothers & daughters. Mothers, grandmothers, aunts, adult daughters and younger daughters (2nd grade and up) will enjoy creating lifelong memories, discovering new things about themselves & each other and exploring activities that they can share beyond this weekend.
Our program features an array of activities for all ages whatever the weather. There will be activities geared for adult daughters & mothers as well as others more appealing to younger daughters and their mothers. Some of the activities to choose from include:

Our Staff ensures that your experience at Camp Speers-Eljabar YMCA makes you want to come back again and again. Staff members are selected for their expertise in program areas as well as personal qualities of good humor, integrity, and hospitality.
Our facilities are second to none with beautiful, spacious log cabins that accommodate up to 14 people with in-cabin bathrooms and showers. (Please bring your own bedding and towels) Mother-Daughter duos (and extended families) will share cabins with other mothers & daughters of similar ages. Cabin-mate requests will be honored whenever possible. Please indicate cabin-mate requests on the registration form. Other log cabin-style buildings provide indoor activity space as well as numerous cozy nooks perfect for sharing a cup of tea and a chat. A variety of outdoor recreation facilities surround the cabin area.
Refunds: If written notice of cancellation is received at least two weeks prior to the event all fees will be refunded. After that point, the fees are non-refundable unless the participant is unable to attend due to medical issues. A physician’s statement to that effect is required. In the event of a medically documented cancellation, fees less the deposit will be refunded. No fee reductions are made for late arrivals or early departures.
Meals served in our Dining Hall include a variety of fresh and tantalizing dishes sure to tempt you. From Friday evening’s pasta bar through Sunday’s Brunch, you’ll find plenty to reward your palate. Vegetarian options are always available. Participants with other dietary needs should contact Camp Speers-Eljabar YMCA and may need to bring their own food and/or supplements.
Insurance: It is the participant’s responsibility to provide her own accident and health care insurance. Camp Speers-Eljabar YMCA does not provide any such coverage for its members and/or participants.
YMCA Membership: Camp Speers-Eljabar YMCA is a membership organization. Mother-Daughter Weekend Participants must either be a member of a YMCA or purchase a special time limited program membership in effect only for the duration of Mother-Daughter Weekend for $ 3.00 per person from Camp Speers-Eljabar YMCA. If the participant has a current YMCA membership, the membership fee is waived.
Participant Information Packets will be mailed following receipt of registration and deposit. The Participant Packet will include an activity and photo/video release for each participant as well as more details about activities and what to bring.
